Aikido and Aikijujutsu in Stavanger Time: 9-12 May 2025 Location: Ki-Dojo Stavanger, Nedre Dalgate 61, 2nd floor, https://g.co/kgs/jrC4eJL Organizer: Stavanger Ki-aikido Club Price: 500 NOK In this seminar/workshop we have two visiting kyoju dairi - Mikko Montonen and Pasi Savoranta - with a group of people from Finland. Kyoju dairi is the same grade that Morihei Ueshiba received from Sokaku Takeda in 1922. Our two guests are direct students of Yutaka Amatsu, who was a student of Takuma Hisa, who was a student of Takeda and Ueshiba. Seminar concentrates on correlations between aikido and aikijujutsu. Special attention is given to the so-called Soden, which is a collection of 547 techniques that form the technical basis of aikido. They were taught to Hisa by Takeda and Ueshiba during the years 1934-1939, photographed, and collected into nine volumes. Amatsu was one of the last people with full knowledge of the Soden, and luckily he managed to teach them in full to Mikko and Pasi and give them kyoju dairi before his passing in 2013. Esa Lilja from Stavanger Ki-aikido club serves as a "translator" between aikido and aikijujutsu.
